Whilst I have been sick I haven't been going into work. The type of job I do needs me to be at my best physically as I deal with the public and have to talk to lots of people and I couldn't do that looking and feeling like shit. So I took a few days off. I also took the weekend of and didn't go out drinking either.
Whilst I have been recuperating I have been catching up on things that my social life and work life prevent me from doing. Mostly readings book and watching my favourite TV Shows...So I just thought I would talk about them.
Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares: I absolutely love this show. But I prefer the USA version to the Uk version, there just seems to be way more drama involved. I guess the network demands it, but you can tell the budget is better. I love when Ramsey goes to the restuarant and tries some of the menu and always hates it. I does he ever go to a place and actually like the food? I looked online and couldn't find any producer notes and wondered how they actually picked these places. I love this show and you can catch it on 4OD on Demand.
Law and Order SVU : On its 12th season already, I am obsessed with this show. Like most people I am entranced by the on screen chemistry of lead characters Benson and Stabler. But my favourite character would have to be Casey Novak played by Diane Neal. I was so upset when she was written out after Season 9. I have watched far too much of this show for it to be considered healthy.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians: I actually came across this show by accident about a month or so ago, I was getting ready to go out and put it on whilst I got ready. I love the Kardashian Family so fucking much but Khloe is my absolute favourite, I think If I was to meet her in real life, we would be best friends. Brother Rob is also really adorable.
I have also read Marilyn Monroe, The Secret Life Of by J Randy Taraborelli. I have never been drawn to Monroe before but this book gave me a great insight into her life. Taraborelli is world renowned biographer and is probably best known as the friend and biographer to Michael Jacksion. I also read Breakfast With Scot by Michael Downing which was an enjoyable read with somewhat of an unsatisfying ending, although the subject matter is something that could not be tied up with a neat little bow at the end. My Side Of The Story by Will Davis is another book I read, Will Davis is a 16 year old homosexual who comes out to his parents, deals with bullies and runs away from home. A good read if you can get past the text/Facebook speak and enjoy the heart.
I also have read and commented on every single blog out there in the blogland.....
I think I am ready to go back to work.
